aamra offers free Wi-Fi for 3000 tourists in Cox’s Bazar

With the aim of providing free Wi-Fi to the beachgoers, aamra deployed WE Wi-Fi Zones at the world’s longest sea beach Cox’s Bazar. Around 3000 tourists can enjoy free Wi-Fi access at Laboni, Kalatoli and Salsha Beach Point.

Zunaid Ahmed Palak, M.P, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of ICT Division, Syed Farhad Ahmed, Managing Director of Aamra Companies Limited inaugurated the launching ceremony of the free WiFi service.

Mr. Ali Hossain, District Administrator, Cox’s Bazar, Lt. Colonel (Retd.) Forkan Ahmed, Chairman of Cox’s Bazar Development Authority, Kazi Md. Abdur Rahman Additional Deputy Commissioner. DC Office Cox’s Bazar and other distinguished guests were present during the launching ceremony.
Mr. Palak said, “Free Internet Program has been initiated with a view to present the tourism of Cox’s Bazar before the world through digital marketing. Gradually, the whole city along with the whole sea-beach will be brought under free internet service.”

Syed Farhad Ahmed, Managing Director of aamra companies limited said, “One thousand users, at a time, can get connected to each router consisting of 100 mbps speed. As per this calculation, three thousand tourists, at a time, can get connected to internet at the three beach-points.”

WE Wi-Fi facilitates the tourists to use wireless internet from their mobile phone, PDAs or notebooks entirely free of charge and without any limitations.
