aamra companies and its colleagues are greatly shocked and saddened by the tragic incident of fire in Faruque Rupayan (FR) Tower, 32 Kemal Ataturk Ave, Dhaka 1213, Bangladesh on 28 March 2019. Amongst different concerns of aamra companies, we have offices, data center, POPs in 4 different floors of this affected building. While information regarding the cause and source of the fire is unavailable at this moment, we can say with certainty that the fire started around 11.30am.
With great relief we can confirm that all aamra colleagues have been able to escape the wrath of this deadly fire due to the extraordinary bravery of our colleagues, civil defense authorities and many others around. As of now, we have 6 of our colleagues hospitalized in Apollo Hospital as precaution, the rest of our colleagues are safe.
Our networks are partially affected, we have rerouted them through our disaster recovery. We request our customers to bear with us during these difficult times.
Unfortunately, not everyone in FR Tower could escape this calamity. The situation of FR Tower fire is still ongoing. To the best of our knowledge, there has been some tragic casualties. Our heart goes out to the victims and their families. Our prayers and condolences to every victim.
